This is the help package for MacR–1000, a control and memory program for the Icom® IC–PCR1000 communications receiver.

To run MacR–1000, you will need:
- A Macintosh with a G3 or later processor.
- Mac OS X version 10.3 or later.
- An RS-232 or RS-422 serial port, typically provided by installing a USB-to-serial adapter or a PCI card.
- At least 256 MB of RAM.
- 3.5 MB of free disk space.
You can purchase a license for MacR–1000 by selecting the Purchase MacR–1000… command from the Help menu, or by visiting the eSellerate web store at http://store.eSellerate.net/s.aspx?s=STR6004319488. Licensed copies can save and export saved-frequency lists.
This program was independently written using my own PCR1000 and information publicly available on the Web. It is not in any way an Icom product, and you should understand that neither Icom nor I warrant that your radio will behave reliably, or will be unharmed, from using this program. I have learned from experience that it is possible to hang a PCR1000 or even throw it out of alignment through careless use of apparently-harmless receiver commands.

With all that said, I use and enjoy this program myself, with a radio I paid for out of my own pocket.
