MacR–1000 Menu

About MacR–1000
Displays a window with version, copyright, disclaimer, and authorship information.
Preferences… (⌘–,)
Opens the Preferences window, for setting the serial port, scanning behavior, and other settings.
Quit MacR–1000 (⌘–Q)
Saves the radio settings and (if MacR–1000 has been licensed) the contents of the frequency library. Turns the receiver off and exits MacR–1000.

File Menu

Open… (⌘–O)
Presents a standard open-file dialog box. The selected file is imported as a new frequency list in the frequency library.
Show EEPROM (⌘–E)
Opens the EEPROM window for inspecting, saving, and, if necessary, restoring the contents of the IC–PCR1000 internal settings memory.
Show Library (⌘–L)
Opens the Frequency Library window for scanning and managing lists of frequency settings.
Close (⌘–W)
Closes the frontmost window. No save dialog will appear, as MacR–1000, when licensed, will automatically save changes to the frequency library and other settings.
Save (⌘–S)
Export the selected frequency list in the Frequency Library in a form usable by other programs.

Edit Menu

Undo (⌘–Z)
Undoes the last action. Text-editing operations and most changes to the Frequency Library are undoable. MacR–1000 supports an unlimited number of undo operations.
Redo (⌘–shift–Z)
Undoes the last undo action.
Cut (⌘–X)
Removes selected text and puts it on the clipboard. This version of MacR–1000 does not support clipboard operations with frequency-list objects.
Copy (⌘–C)
Puts a copy of selected text on the clipboard. This version of MacR–1000 does not support clipboard operations with frequency-list objects.
Paste (⌘–V)
Replaces the text selection with the contents of the clipboard. This version of MacR–1000 does not support clipboard operations with frequency-list objects.
Delete (delete)
Removes the selected text or frequency-list item without affecting the clipboard. This action is undoable.
Select All (⌘–A)
Selects the entire contents of the active text area. This command is available only in text areas.
Font Submenu
The Font submenu contains several commands allowing you to change the style and color of text. The Name field of items in a frequency list can be styled.

VFO Menu

Widen Filter (⌘–])
Change the receiver’s filter to the next-broader available. This command is unavailable if the widest possible filter for this mode is already set.
Narrow Filter (⌘–[)
Change the receiver’s filter to the next-narrower available. This command is unavailable if the narrowest possible filter for this mode is already set.
Frequency Up (⌘–')
Adjust the receiver’s tuned frequency up by the amount of the tuning step. If the option key is held down while selecting this command, the adjustment will be ten times the amount of the tuning step.
Frequency Down (⌘–;)
Adjust the receiver’s tuned frequency down by the amount of the tuning step. If the option key is held down while selecting this command, the adjustment will be ten times the amount of the tuning step.
Bigger Frequency Step (⌘–")
Adjust the tuning step to the next-larger entry in the Step: popup menu. This affects the amount of change effected by the large tuning arrows next to the frequency display, the Frequency Up and Frequency Down menu commands, and the size of the samples shown in the bandscope window.
Smaller Frequency Step (⌘–:)
Adjust the tuning step to the next-smaller entry in the Step: popup menu. This affects the amount of change effected by the large tuning arrows next to the frequency display, the Frequency Up and Frequency Down menu commands, and the size of the samples shown in the bandscope window.
Change Mode (⌘–/)
Rotates the receiver through the modulation types in the Modes: popup menu.

Window Menu

Zoom
Toggle the front window between a larger and a smaller size. Only the Frequency Library window will be affected by this command, as no other window is resizable.
Minimize (⌘–M)
Shrink the front window into the Dock.
Bandscope
Make the Bandscope window visible and bring it to the front. Note that the IC–PCR1000 does not provide bandscope information while the receiver is in USB or LSB mode.
Bring All to Front
Make sure that all windows for MacR–1000 are in front of the windows for any other application.

Help Menu

MacR–1000 Help (⌘–?)
Opens the Apple Help Viewer application and displays the help documentation for MacR–1000, of which this page is a part.
Purchase MacR–1000…
Purchase a license for MacR–1000 via the eSellerate online store. A series of dialogs will appear, to take your name and payment information. Purchasing by this method will set MacR–1000’s serial number automatically. Licensed copies of MacR–1000 can save and export frequency lists.
Enter Serial Number…
If you purchase a license for MacR–1000 directly from eSellerate, or are installing MacR–1000 on a second computer (which is permitted by the license), you can enter the serial number through the dialog box presented by this item.
Check for Updates…
Use this command to verify that you are running the latest version of MacR–1000. If a later version is available, you’ll be informed of what it is, and whether there is any cost associated with it. This command can download the new version if you wish. MacR–1000 does not automatically check for updates, and “phones home” only for purposes of purchase and activation.
